The role of the Employability Support Unit (ESU) is to ensure that students following sandwich programmes secure employment/work experience of sufficient quality to enable them to proceed to the third level of their studies and achieve a degree.
The service the ESU offers:
- Prepares students for placement, including counselling on CVs and application forms.
- Gives advice on specific organisations or vacancies.
- Advertises industrial placement vacancies.
- Submits applications and arranges interviews.
- Manages the assessment of students on placement for progression to the final year and the award of the LCGI.
