The role of the Employability Support Unit (ESU) is to ensure that students following sandwich programmes secure employment/work experience of sufficient quality to enable them to proceed to the third level of their studies and achieve a degree.

The service the ESU offers:

  • Prepares students for placement, including counselling on CVs and application forms.

  • Gives advice on specific organisations or vacancies.

  • Advertises industrial placement vacancies.

  • Submits applications and arranges interviews.

  • Manages the assessment of students on placement for progression to the final year and the award of the LCGI.
