Graduation

Our graduation ceremonies at Liverpool Cathedral (Anglican) are a rich pageant full of colour provided by academic gowns, processional maces, banners, fanfares and ceremonial music.

Staff from across the university come together, at Britain’s largest cathedral, to deliver an incredible and memorable experience for our graduands and their families.

Graduation dates for 2024 

Summer graduation: Monday 8 July to Friday 12 July

Invitations for summer ceremonies will be sent to eligible students (students with award conferral dates of 1 February 2024 to 1 July 2024 inclusive) from Wednesday 20 March.

• Ceremony registration for students opens on Wednesday 20 March and closes on Monday 10 June.
• Gown hire and photography bookings for students open on Wednesday 20 March and close at midnight Sunday 30 June.

Changes to personal information

If any of your contact information has changed, please let us know and update your personal details as soon as possible.

Certificates and verification of awards

Your certificate will be produced in the name held for you on the Student Information System on the date of your conferral

Please note
Certificates will not be issued on the day of your graduation and will be posted out to your permanent home address by Royal Mail Signed For or International Signed For mail.

Please allow up to eight weeks from your conferral date to receive your certificate.

Transcripts

You will be provided with a final student transcript with your award certificate. In the future, you may be asked to provide a copy of your transcript to a third party – you can order a copy of your transcript from us.
