Staff may obtain an interest free loan to purchase the Season Ticket. Loans can be applied for via self service in Oracle HCM - Staff Infobase system. Details of how to apply for the loan can be found here:-
Season tickets can be purchased from Merseytravel or at train stations. Please note, however, that payments for season tickets are made by BACS transfer into your bank account in the next month's salary. You will, therefore, be required to request the price of the season ticket from the travel provider before completing your application. As loans are only issued once a month on pay day please ensure you apply for your travel loan in plenty of time. Deadlines for approval from your Line Manager are usually the 17th of the month. Please note that it is possible to apply for a new loan up to 2 months before the current loan finishes, i.e you can apply after you have made your 10th payment, as loans are deducted from pay in 12 monthly instalments.
