International student support at LJMU

Liverpool John Moores University has a dedicated International Student Advice team, part of Student Advice and Wellbeing Services.

They offer support to our international students on topics such as:

  • study visas
  • bringing family to the UK
  • working while studying
  • general visa and immigration advice

Support is available to current students, applicants with an LJMU student number, and recent graduates. You can read more in our Conditions of Service.

Appointments

Our service is available by appointments only. You can book an appointment (in person, via Teams, or by email).

Personal support

Although we’re confident you’ll enjoy your time at LJMU, we know you may sometimes need additional support – especially if you feel homesick. That’s why during your time with us you can access support from our Student Wellbeing Advisers. To find out more, see our Student Wellbeing team pages.

Check out the JMSU website where you'll find a range of societies and clubs, including the International Student Society which is particularly popular with international students. Joining this group will give you a chance to meet people from all over the world, learn about other cultures and explore Liverpool with some really friendly people.
