Borrowing Material from the Learning Resource Centres
Requesting items which are on loan
You can reserve 21 or 7 day loan items via the Library Catalogue.
How many hold requests can I place?| Borrower Type | No. of Hold Requests |
|---|---|
| Undergraduate students | 5 |
| Taught Postgraduate students | 8 |
| Researchers and Staff | 15 |
| External Borrowers (Sconul Access) | 4 |
Items that you reserve may take some time to arrive. Your reservation may join a queue, or a borrower may keep a book beyond the due date. If you see from the Library Catalogue that the item you require is currently available on the shelf, it is generally quicker to go to the relevant Learning Resource Centre and collect the book yourself.
When the item becomes available we will send it to the LRC of your choice and hold it for you for 7 days. We will notify you by email when it is ready to collect.
If you require an item that is not held in an LJMU library, you may be able to get it via the Inter-Library Loans service.
