LJMU Rare Books Collection
The Rare Books collection consists of a varied range of items collected by LJMU Library Services over a number of years. Some of the items in the collection were part of the original library of the Mechanics' School of Arts and thus date their acquisition to the 1830s. Items in the collection include children's illustrated books, antiquarian books, artists' books, limited editions, special formats, and other rare or unusual items, or items which require special handling. All items are listed in the Library Catalogue.
