How to Access Your Library Account
Using the Library Catalogue, either online or from a dedicated terminal within the Learning Resource Centres (LRCs), you can view the following aspects of your library account:
- Messages from library staff to you.
- Blocks placed on your account which may reduce the services available to you (i.e. loans, renewals). Reasons for blocks may include vandalism, debts, etc.
- Your Address Details.
Sign-in to the Library Catalogue
- Opening the Library Catalogue you will see the basic search page:

Alternatively, most pages within the Library and Student Support (L&SS) website have Quick Links including one to Check Library Account. Using this particular link the next step can be skipped.
- Click Check Library Account as shown below:

- Enter your LJMU Username and Password:

- Click the Log In button.
- Your Library Account Details page will appear:

Using your Library Account
View Messages
- If there are any messages for you, click the link view them:

- Messages will appear in a list similar to this:

View Blocks
- An example block is shown below:

- If you see a block, you can contact the Library Desk of any LRC for further information.
View your Address Details
- Scroll down the page to view your address and contact details. For example:

- What if your address or contact details are incorrect?
- LJMU Students - please contact one of the Campus Centres.
- LJMU Staff - please amend your details using Staff Infobase
- External Library Members - please contact your nearest Learning Resource Centre Circulation Desk. Alternatively, you can telephone: 0151 231 4022.
