Ricardo are continuing their support from last year with supplying LJMU racing team with WAVE, WAVE is the market-leading ISO approved, 1D engine & gas dynamics simulation software package from Ricardo Software. It is used worldwide in industry sectors including passenger car, motorcycle, truck, locomotive, motor sport, marine and power generation. WAVE enables performance simulations to be carried out based on virtually any intake, combustion and exhaust system configuration, and includes a drivetrain model to allow complete vehicle simulation. This program has been invaluable to LJMU in the design of the intake and exhaust systems and we are pleased to be working with this industry standard product again this year

Aintree complex is situated in the suburbs of Liverpool. Aintree is well known as the venue for the world famous Grand National. But it also has a long and proud history as a motor sport venue. The 3-mile track, opened in 1954 by Earl Howe and Raymond Mays, remains Britain’s only purpose-built Grand Prix circuit and it still exists in its entirety.The site also boasts a 9 hole Golf course and Driving range. The managing director of the Aintree site Julian Thick kindly agreed to let LJMU racing team use the circuit to test their car before the competiton. Geoff Jones the manager of the golf course and driving range has oganised for part of the club circuit to be allocated to LJMU racing team where the car will perform all the nessecary tests to ensure the reliability.

Titan have supported LJMU racing team with our first steering rack design. They have used our required geometry to design a rack that will be suitable for our needs. Titan are manufacturing the rack using the latest technology to ensure the rack is reliable and effective.
