Avril is a graduate of the university, she spent 20 years teaching in primary schools on Merseyside before joining LJMU in 2014 where she is now a senior lecturer within our School of Education, working with both undergraduate and postgraduate students on our primary education programmes. She combines her passion for the outdoors with teaching, and has become our lead on outdoor learning, developing a new approach called the Natural Curriculum, and establishing two Forest School sites.
Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics Research Group is focused on the use of medicines and the delivery of healthcare. Our areas of interest include: evidence-based practice and service delivery in clinical pharmacy, health information needs and supporting safe self-care, and therapeutics. Project NOFOUL
Elizabeth is the Head of Primary Programmes within the School of Education, and her own career in teaching brought her to work at the university. In 2023, she won a JMSU Student Experience Award, after being nominated as an outstanding teacher with students praising her for her support, empathy, and enthusiasm in all that she does.
LJMU offers innovative approaches to initial teacher education, working with primary, secondary and other education providers across the North-West of England and beyond.

Lilly is an inspiring media production student who aims to break down barriers in the movie industry and is inspired by trailblazing women in film, and her own family too. She’s also a dedicated volunteer, having raised money and given her time to various charities in Teeside. In 2023, her volunteering work was recognised as she was awarded a British Citizen Youth Award.
The Nature related Pedagogies research group promotes inter-organisational collaboration and knowledge creation with a focus on nature related pedagogies for wellbeing.
