In 2023, LJMU hosted its first Green Skills and Jobs Fair, bringing together organisations to meet students and graduates interested in sustainability careers.
Working in partnership with Mersey Forest, LJMU have developed the Natural Curriculum, which is already gaining a strong local and regional reputation. We run a professional practice hub for local schools and have successfully delivered Department for Education/Natural England funded income-generating programmes for teachers.
Each scholarship funding is for three years of a full-time PhD degree programme, and includes tuition fees, a tax-free maintenance stipend of around £18,622 per annum (rising in line with URKI rates) and additional research costs of up to £1,600 per year.
The Marketing, Consumption, Social Engagement and Entrepreneurship Research Group looks into marketing in technology and digital business, consumerism, social engagement and sustainability, entrepreneurship, civic leadership, and business decision making in SMEs. In March 2026, LCAPS at Liverpool John Moores University hosted officers from the Norwegian Police University College (Politihøgskolen) as part of an international exchange programme.
