Secretariat
Introduction
The Secretariat supports the:
- Office of the Vice-Chancellor
- Pro Vice-Chancellor (Admin & HR) and University Secretary
- Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Enhancement, Research & Regional Engagement)
- Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience)
- Pro Vice-Chancellor (Marketing, Commercial & International)
The purpose of the Secretariat is:
To provide a high quality and comprehensive committee support service to the University's principal Governance and Management Committees.
In conjunction with the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Admin & HR) and University Secretary, to monitor the operation of the University's Scheme of Delegation to ensure its effective operation.
The Secretariat also supports the University in meeting its obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998, the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. The Manager, Secretariat is the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer, and provides advice and guidance to staff, students and the public on the three Acts, as well as on records management good practice.
