Tackling Childhood Obesity in Liverpool: From Research to Practice - seminar programme
Thursday 8th October 2009 8-10am - Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences
This seminar featured a host of prestigious speakers representing the strong local partnerships between LJMU and Liverpool PCT, Liverpool City Council and Alder Hey Hospital among others. Presentations linked current research and practice to discuss the progress made in the field of childhood obesity in Liverpool over recent years; outlining where we have come from, the current state of play, and how we hope to move forward.
The excellent multidisciplinary turnout (despite the early hour!) was demonstrative of the strong local commitment to tackling this important issue and all presentations were well-received by the audience.
Thank you to the speakers and all who attended, we look forward to continuing our vital work together.
