Fees and Bursaries: PGCE Students 2012

Fees for September 2012 entry will be set at a maximum of £9,000. This will be confirmed as soon as further details of funding for PGCE courses are available from the TDA.

Tuition fee and maintenance loans are available to eligible students; these are only repayable once the course is complete and you are earning a salary over £21,000. Bursaries are available based on subject and degree classification. For full details please visit the TDA website: www.tda.gov.uk

We are in the vanguard of new developments that are modernising the teaching profession and setting national models of best practice. Our insightful innovative programmes ensure that graduates are equipped to meet the challenges of this fascinating profession. Based on 100 years’ experience of teacher education, we currently provide Initial Teacher Education for primary and secondary schools across a range of subjects.
 
Our Academic staff are highly qualified and respected both in the UK and internationally for their specialist knowledge of all aspects of the teaching profession. Most also have hands-on experience as teachers, deputy head teachers, heads of departments, inspectors and advisers. This combination of classroom experience and creative research enables us to devise programmes that respond to and reflect changes in teaching practices.

We have also provided Continuing Professional Development for teachers in Merseyside and the North West for more than twenty-five years. Our CPD programmes give experienced teachers, lecturers and others working in education and training the opportunity to develop and reflect on professional practice enhancing job satisfaction and improving the learning and achievement of pupils and students.
