Important Information Regarding CRB Checks
Please refer to the ‘About You’ section of the UCAS Application Guides (available online) as to the regulations regarding declaring Criminal Records on your application.
Please note that all the following courses within the Faculty of Education, Community and Leisure may involve working with children and/or vulnerable adults during work/school placements, and you must indicate if you have a relevant criminal record on your application form. Please also note that this list of courses is only for the Faculty of Education, Community and Leisure, and that other courses from LJMU may also require this Clearance.
We strongly recommend that you refer to these guidance notes prior to completing your CRB form to ensure that everything is correct.
Please note:
You do not need to acquire a CRB check yourself - LJMU will submit a CRB on your behalf when you accept an offer on the course. For Trainee Teachers, the CRB check results will compared against their GTC Self Declaration to ensure that they are fit to train to teach.
