Routes into Teaching | Undergraduate

Our undergraduate teacher training course is for applicants who:

  • Are currently taking their A Levels (or equivalent), e.g. AVCE, CACHE, BTEC OR
  • Have completed their A Levels (or equivalent), but have not started university OR
  • Are current studying a Foundation Degree (i.e. you have university credits)

If you are going to have completed a degree course and want to pursue teacher training, you need a postgraduate route.

You'll find our guide refers to A2 qualifications - we will consider any qualification at an equivalent level to this.

 

GCSE

If you don't have the necessary GCSE grades to start your teacher training, click here for more information about LJMU's GCSE Equivalence Tests.

Please note: No matter which teacher training course you choose to apply for, you will need your GCSE grades prior to the start of the course. Some courses will also require these prior to application.
