Student working in library

Enrolment, induction and ID cards

When you enrol, we will be in touch with you personally with all of the information you will need before you arrive. This will include your information pack and joining instructions to enable you to sign in to the MyLJMU app. Once you have uploaded your photograph and completed the online registration process, your student ID card will be issued in the post together with a range of information and your LJMU face mask. If you're an international student, you will be sent your ID card via recorded delivery as soon as you arrive and can confirm your UK address. If your ID card cannot be posted you will receive a facsimile of your card by email until your actual card, LJMU lanyard and mask can be sent to you.

Whilst clubs and societies will be arranged via online platforms, we are expecting further guidance on student group activities and will be pursuing a programme of activities within the prevailing government guidelines.

Enrolment and ID cards

Once you have completed the registration form and uploaded your ID document and photo you will be automatically enrolled onto your modules. For some students this also includes providing UKVI and DBA information. If you are a returning student you will also need to make sure any outstanding issues have been addressed for example unpaid tuition fees.

If you are having problems enrolling or completing the student registration form please email or telephone 0151 231 3289.

If you have not received your student card via the postal system

Please check that you have applied for your ID card and uploaded your photo.

If you have completed the above and still have not received your student card, contact Gaynor Morris - Security Administrator.

If you need help applying for your ID card, contact Academic Registry Services directly on 0151 231 3289.

Students who require a replacement ID card can purchase one (for a £10 charge) from our libraries located at Avril Robarts, Aldham Robarts and IM Marsh.

LJMU operates a ‘No ID Card, No Access’ policy - ID cards must be on display at all times when in our buildings.

You will find your induction timetable along with important information relating to your programme induction and activities on your programme Canvas site.

Please log onto Canvas to access this information.

Programme teams are continuing to add information, so please keep checking your programme site for all the information you require to be ready for induction and the start of teaching.
