Ada Pressman (1927 - 2003)
- Pressman graduated with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University in 1950.
- She is recognized for her breakthroughs in improving the precision and reliability of sensors and controls.
- Pressman was honoured as one of the United States' outstanding experts in power plant controls, process instrumentation.
- Recognized for significantly improving the safety for both coal-fired and nuclear plants, her work has positively impacted both workers and local residents.
- In honour of her work, Pressman received the Society of Women Engineers’ achievement award in 1976, principally due to her immense contribution in the field of power control systems engineering.
