LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with equality, diversity & inclusion training specialists; Flexible Work Solutions and are pleased to offer LJMU Staff, the opportunity to participate in a half day Dignity At Work (Bullying & Harassment) workshop.

 

A culture of bullying and harassment can have a negative impact on individuals, teams and the whole organisation. It can lead to poor performance/low productivity; increased absence and ill health (particularly stress related); damage to institution’s reputation and employment tribunal claims. This workshop aims to provide practical guidance in relation to encourage successful working relationships.

  • Develop a deeper understanding of what dignity at work entails.
     
  • Practical guidance on steps that can be taken to encourage successful working relationships.
     
  • Recognising signs of inappropriate behaviour and conduct and how to avoid them.
     
  • Explore key features relating to dignity at work and the effects on staff & student.
     
  • The impact of social media on Bullying and Harassments.
     
  • Languages and behaviours that constitutes bullying and harassments.
     
  • Tips for promoting dignity at work.
     
  • Understand more about Equality Legislation and Rights.

Who can attend?
This training opportunity is open to LJMU Staff from each of the Faculties outlined above in the first instance and will be opened up to a University-wide audience, depending on availability. Places are limited and will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis.
 
Workshop Times:
Half day workshops will run in the morning (10:00 – 13:00) and the same session will be repeated in the afternoon (14:00 – 17:00).
 
Workshop Location: 
Workshops will be held in close proximity to each Faculty’s main campus (depending on room availability). Participants will receive confirmation of location, as soon as rooms are confirmed.
