Are you interested in how the law affects everyday life - and, in particular, family life?

If so, please join us at 6pm on Tuesday 18th June 2019 for a public debate on this issue, hosted by Liverpool John Moores University's pro bono Legal Advice Centre, at the Liverpool Medical Institution.

The debate will be chaired by Her Honour Judge Margaret De Haas QC, Designated family judge for Merseyide and Cheshire, with four representatives from the local profession speaking for and against automatic grandparents' rights. The event is free and open to all, and those attending can put questions to the panel. Refreshments will be provided.

Our speakers are:

Mike Devlin - former head of family law team at Stephensons

Mary Mullin - family solicitor and assistant CEO at National Youth Advocacy Service

Nicola Harris - partner at MSB Solicitors

Haley Farrell - director at Broudie Jackson Canter and Head of Family Law.

We hope that you will come to participate in what we hope will become a regular series of public events to look at how the law impacts on real families.

Attendance is free but please register here to secure a place, as numbers are limited: https://bit.ly/2Knh4Pf
