The new LJMU RP(E)L policy

LJMU’s recognition of Prior Learning and RP(E)L Handbook outline how formal recognition of a student’s learning gained elsewhere can lead to the award of LJMU credit. This session will concentrate on supporting programme leaders, programme teams and staff from Faculty Admissions Hubs in considering RP(E)L claims from applicants and existing students.
- ‘Advanced standing’, where students with qualifications gained elsewhere are able to enter a LJMU programme at an advanced level (such as entry at Level 5 or 6 of an honours degree, or level 8 of a professional Doctorate)
- The Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL)
- How students gain LJMU credit for ‘study abroad’
