LJMU Women Academic Progression Symposium
Wednesday 13 January 2021 | 9:30am – 3pm | Virtual event
This event has already taken place.
LJMU’s Women’s Professorial Network in association with the Women Academics Network, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Team and Pro-VC of Research and Enterprise, Professor Keith George, are proud to present an opportunity for all women academics and professional service staff at LJMU to participate in the University’s first ever virtual Women Academic Progression Symposium.
Wednesday 13 January 2021 | 9:30am – 3pm | Online/virtual event (Registration via Eventbrite)
This event aims to encourage more women to apply for Readership/Professorship and offers participants the chance to: find out more about each of the four conferment pathways, gain insights and “top-tips” from those that have experienced the process and celebrate those whom have recently achieved their Professorship/Readership status.
The main symposium will take place in the morning and after a 30min lunch break, there will be an opportunity for participants who have registered to attend the individual/group “pathway surgeries” to ask questions and hear from Professors and Readers who have been through the conferment process themselves and will act as “critical friends”.
• 9:30am – 12:30pm | Women Academic Progression Symposium
• 1pm – 3pm | Pathway Surgeries
Please “save the date” in your diaries and register for this event via Eventbrite (login details will be sent to all who register, nearer the time).
The final timetable will be available in January prior to the event.
