A free online symposium for school leaders in the Liverpool City Region
A different culture, how do we retain and embed better and different ways of working? All topics which will all be covered during this free online symposium
Being a leader in education is always challenging. Recent times have been - and continue to be, exceptionally demanding. It feels the right time to have a valuable 'coming together' to thoughtfully capture the breadth of these challenges, but importantly, the leadership knowledge, learning and opportunities this unique situation is enabling.
In partnership with colleagues in the Liverpool City Region, we are hosting a free online Symposium, which will hear from local headteachers on how they have responded and adapted to these exceptional times.
There will also be an opportunity for thinking about priorities going forward and to inform the development of a new Centre for Educational Leadership.
Themes for discussion include:
- A different culture? How do we retain and embed 'better'/different ways of working?
- Future needs of children and young people
- Future needs of leaders and the workforce
The event will begin with a welcome and introduction from Professor Joe Yates, Pro-Vice Chancellor - Arts, Professional and Social Studies. We will be joined by local Headteachers and Professor Becky Francis, Chief Executive of the Education Endowment Foundation, with a particular interest in educational equalities.
Further details about the event, including how to access and log in to the event will be emailed to you in advance of 13th May 2021 if you register your interests.
