In this RCBB Research Seminar Series talk Dr Kirsty Alderson (LJMU) will present her current research under the title "Understanding resilience and vulnerability in survivors of childhood adversity".

Abstract: I will present my research on childhood adversity, with a focus on child sexual exploitation. I will discuss what makes some children vulnerable to this type of abuse and what factors might reduce their vulnerability. This talk will also attend to the concept of resilience and the factors that could help survivors of childhood adversity to overcome difficulties and function well in life.
