LightNight 2017

Various locations across the city

Liverpool John Moores University is proud to be the principal sponsor of LightNight 2017. This is the fourth year in a row that we have supported Liverpool’s fantastic late night arts festival and this year’s event promises to be the best yet.

Join us as we travel through time from 1823 to explore how the Liverpool Mechanic’s and Apprentice’s Library evolved into today’s modern civic university.

  • Discover how Liverpool’s educational pioneers – such as William Roscoe, Irene Marsh, Fanny Calder and Tom Reilly – laid the foundations for today’s university
  • Become a modern day mechanic and make your own 3-D star
  • Help us celebrate our 25th anniversary of becoming a university by sharing your memories (and memorabilia) of studying at LJMU, Liverpool Poly and our founder colleges in the Instant Exhibition
  • Find out more about our world-leading research in sports science and astronomy
  • Tour our archives and interactive exhibitions plus much, much more

So this LightNight make sure you come along to LJMU – you might be surprised by what you discover.

LJMU’s full LightNight programme will be published shortly.
