10.00am - 1.00pm

This event is now sold out.

Join the ‘Science at the Crime Scene’ Saturday Club at LJMU to use a range of practical science skills to solve a murder! In the 12 weekly sessions from January to April 2019 you will use biology, chemistry and physics-based science skills to be a real life crime scene Investigator just like Barry Allen in The Flash.

Can you solve this crime...?

At 3.00am on Monday 17 October 2018 police were called to 10 John Moores Street, Liverpool after the neighbour reported a disturbance and saw a male suspect running from the property, down John Moores Street and turning right into James Parsons Way. The police have taken two suspects into custody and have collected evidence from both suspects. The property 10 John Moores Street is known to LJMU police as the residence of a drug dealer, Mr A Deal. On entering the property a male body was found believed to be Mr A Deal. The forensic pathologist was called and the body was removed to the mortuary for an autopsy to be performed. Who did it? Is there enough evidence to prosecute them? You decide.

All interested students should email outreach@ljmu.ac.uk for further details, or call 0151 904 6384.
