Our research

With an excellent reputation for diverse, cutting-edge and multi-disciplinary research, our staff are closely aligned with the University mission, which strives for research to inform scholarship. We are regularly involved in producing publications, take active roles in conferences and are members of professional associations. Our research activities have informed the policies and practices of various external organisations.

We collaborate with over 300 external partners to enrich our programmes. We are working alongside a wide range of public, private and voluntary organisations including schools; local authorities; sport, dance and outdoors organisations; and tourist and leisure attractions.
