The Department of Applied Mathematics houses a range of high-spec facilities that provide an excellent learning and teaching environment for students and staff.

Computers and software

The Department of Applied Mathematics has 150 high-performance computers equipped with mathematical software that is used in industry, such as Matlab, Maple TA and SPSS.

Social areas

The City Campus, which houses the Department of Applied Mathematics, has a variety of social areas that provide excellent spaces for students and staff to debate, discuss and socialise.

James Parsons Building

Courses run by the Department of Applied Mathematics are taught in the James Parsons Building, which has nine teaching labs, a postgraduate room and three research labs.
