School of Biological and Environmental Sciences staff

Our people

Meet some of the people working and teaching within the School of Biological and Environmental Sciences.

Our staff's areas of interests include zoology, genetics, neurobiology, animal behaviour, anthropology, forensics, conservation, geography and sedimentology.

Most staff are engaged in collaborative work with a myriad of environmental, wildlife, conservation and health organisations. We have strong links with the World Wildlife Fund, UNEP, Chester Zoo, the NHS, WHO and with a number of local and national environmental organisations including Defra, the Environment Agency, Natural England, local authorities, the Mersey Forest and the Wildlife Trusts. This offers students the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and understand the transdisciplinary nature of modern research and environmental management.
