I was originally going to apply for a midwifery course at another university, but unfortunately was unable to secure any offers for midwifery at all. I was unsure what I wanted to do as I didn't want to take a year out, and I found Wildlife Conservation course when looking through the LJMU prospectus for other options as the university had stood out for me when I had visited.
I was in contact with the admissions department for Natural Sciences and Psychology and received their advice on how I should continue with my application, as I had concerns about not having a personal statement written specifically for the course I was applying for.
I had a lot of anxieties surrounding my finances, but I received advice and support from both my tutor and the university in order to tackle my worries. LJMU was definitely the right choice for me.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don't hesitate and take advantage of all the opportunity to try new things and explore the world.
If I could pick one thing I really love it's the location! Liverpool is an amazing city to study in, with so much to do both in the city centre on the doorstep of LJMU and further out, along the coast and inland
