LiverpoolSU's top tips for starting uni

Yasmin: One of my favourite events this year is the ‘Walking Tour – Officers’ Top Spots’. This is where the students will get to know the city – from cultural hot spots to green spaces, the best veggie and vegan eateries, quirky pubs and where to get the best coffee, teamed up to go around with one of us four SU Officers.
Rachael: My top tips are:
- Don’t panic about finding your friend group in the first week
- Make sure you do stuff in the day (outside of your timetable of course!)
- LiverpoolSU have got so much lined up to make sure your first two weeks are amazing and so that you can see as much of the city as possible, this will really make you feel at home and help you settle in straight away
- Stay safe, make sure you have a taxi number and stick with good people
Howisha: The events that I'll definitely be checking out are Ghetto Golf, the trip to Ikea and Rock 'n' Roll Bingo. With all that said my top tip to all freshers is to look after your health and enjoy yourself.
Angelina: Join a club or society. It’s nice to have friends from all different areas of the University, and not just your course. And of course, rinse the Freshers’ Fair for every free thing you can get your hands on!
