Biography

My teaching focuses on learning and development, mental health and therapeutic practice, particularly through creative engagement. I am a qualified counsellor (Integrative) and registered with the BACP. I am in ongoing training in Gestalt psychotherapy with the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute (GPTI) and practice as a Senior Trainee in Gestalt Psychotherapy (UKCP). I have worked as a therapist with children in school, young adults and also adults within NHS mental health services. My research focus is on creative practice and mental health. Previous projects include Principal Investigator of Esmee Fairbairn funded research into creativity and professional development, and Arts Council Bridge Organization Curious Minds, funded evaluation of Specialist Leaders in Cultural Education (SLiCE).
