Richard Hill was a Police Officer with the Cheshire Constabulary for 30 years prior to his retirement in 2015. His experience is predominantly in Uniform Operational roles including, Neighbourhood Policing, Response, Public Order, Search and Critical Incidents.
He was involved in policing environmental protests throughout his career from the Second Runway Project at Manchester Airport to Anti-Fracking protests prior to his retirement.
Richard was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chester between 2015 and April 2019 before arriving at Liverpool John Moores University.
His research interests include the policing of environmental protest.
