Dr Yinan Yin

Biography

Yinan is a lecturer in law. She teaches a range of subjects at undergraduate level. She has been undertaking research in international law, maritime law and Chinese law. She has presented at conferences and published papers concerning issues on international law and international maritime law. Additionally, Yinan acts as a foundation year personal tutor to help and support her personal tutees.

Yinan completed her PhD at University of Central Lancashire and received her LLM degree at Lund University, Sweden. After studying and then practicing in law for several years, she decided to pursue her PhD degree as a result of her academic ambition. During her PhD study, she has been involved in many research projects, activities and exciting teaching assignments.

Prior to joining LJMU, Yinan has had teaching experiences of both Public and Private Oil and Gas Law at postgraduate level as well as a range of undergraduate modules: Contract Law; Legal System; Lawyer Skills; Tort Law, Thinking and Arguing Law. She was also the module leader for several postgraduate programmes: Shipping and Maritime Commercial Law; Oil and Gas Public/Private Law, which were designed and developed by her with the inspiration partially originating from the research that she has been undertaking. Yinan also supervised students on the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
