Biography

I teach on a range of management and project management subject areas within the BABM programme with my main areas of expertise in the field of management and project management. In addition to this, I teach research methods on a number of Masters programmes and actively supervise both Masters and Doctoral students on their research.

Before joining LJMU as Senior Lecturer, I worked at Durham University on a research project looking at behaviours that underpin excellence in UK higher education. The project collaborated with a number of world-leading research intensive institutions to include the universities of Birmingham, Cambridge, Exeter and Leeds. The project further entailed working with UK HE bodies such as the Leadership Foundation and HEFCE.

My own doctoral research similarly focuses on UK higher education and examines the different managerial archetypes that exist in UK universities. My current research interest focuses upon higher education management, public sector management and enterprise.

I also currently supervise a range of Doctoral students in these subject areas.

In addition to this, I am also a certified PRINCE2 as well as reviewer for the following journals –

Learning and Teaching: The International Journal of Higher Education in the Social Sciences
The International Journal of Learning
The International Journal of Knowledge, Culture and Change Management
Asian Pacific Education Review
