Biography

Twelve years of experience teaching in Higher Education with a proven track record of planning, delivery and assessment of pre and post registration nursing programmes. I was appointed Programme Leader for BSc Nursing in August 2013 following a reorganisation of the faculty. In previous roles I was a ward manager for five years and a section leader in health and social care within a further education college. In 2013 I successfully completed my PhD in Health; A study to explore the experiences of Advance Care Planning amongst family caregivers of people with advanced dementia. My main teaching areas are management, leadership, change management, action learning, gerontology and the care of people with dementia. My teaching interests include: Management and Leadership, Action learning, Change Management, Care of Older People, End of Life Care, Dementia, teaching and learning in clinical practice.
