As the PGCE/PGDE 5-11 Programme Leader at John Moores University I have responsibility for the managment and co-ordination of the various 5-11 postgraduate routes (Core and School Direct) which lead to qualified teacher status for our trainee teachers.
Prior to working at LJMU I taught primary school children in both in England, France and Taiwan. When employed as a qualifed primary teacher in England my specalist subject was primary foreign languages, a research area that still maintain an active interest in.
