My PhD study revolves around the teachers' belief, knowledge and their practice in the classroom in the teaching of English reading through the implementation of phonics approach for second language learners. This study will look at how the effect of beliefs change the practice of the teachers and whether knowledge plays a bigger role in shaping their beliefs and practices itself.
