Dr Xiaoxiao Liu is a Lecturer in Materials and Manufacturing in the Department of Maritime and Mechanical Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University where she has been a faculty member since 2016. She was awarded the PhD in 2013 from the University of Sheffield with a focus on Bio-tribology. Before joining LJUM, Dr Liu has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Kent and University of Sheffield. Her principle research interest includes manufacturing process optimisation, materials characterisation and abrasives technology, tribology and sports engineering, as well as their applications in industrial problems.
