Digby Elliott is a Professor of Motor Control and Behavioural Neuroscience. He has been at LJMU since 2007. Prior to that he was a Tier I Canada Research Chair at McMaster University in Canada where he is currently a Professor Emeritus. Professor Elliott's research interests include the visual control of movement, manual asymmetries, visual attention, movement planning and movement problems associated with Down syndrome and autism. Professor Elliott has been funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada since 1984 for his work on vision and upper limb control. He is a former president of SCAPPS and NASPSPA and serves on the editorial board of a number of journals including the Journal of Motor Behavior, Acta Psychologica, the American Journal of Psychology and Psychological Research.
