Geert Kleinnibbelink

Sport and Exercise Sciences

Geert graduated from medical school medio 2016. Besides his MD degree, he has a degree in Technical Medicine (BSc). After gaining working experience at the cardiology department for 1.5 years he started a dual PhD in 2018 at the Department of Physiology and Cardiology at the Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc) in the Netherlands and the Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences (RISES) at the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in the United Kingdom. His research is focusing on cardiac adaptation in athletes and pulmonary hypertension assessed with novel echocardiographic techniques. After his PhD he will start as a specialist registrar in Cardiology at the Radboudumc.
