Madeleine's background is in Public Health and Anthropology, and now through her doctorate programme she is developing expertise in the field of Health Economics and Health Promotion, more specifically economic evaluations of lifestyle interventions. Having spent time studying and working abroad in Malawi, the Czech Republic and France, Madeleine has developed a keen interest in the role contextual factors play in the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of an intervention. In particular she is interested in the transferability of economic evaluations, behavioural economics, nudge theory and the social-determinants of health.
