Zhuohua (Joanna) is a senior lecture in Quality Management at Liverpool Business School and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She leads three undergraduate modules including “Quality Management”, “Improving Process Performance” and “Internal Quality Management System Auditing”. She is also responsible for the admissions of DBA students and leads the Planning Module on the DBA programme.

Prior to joining the Liverpool Business School, Joanna has worked in industry for eight years on various positions, including business analyst and business management consultant.

Her research is to explore advanced methods that can be used to improve quality management both in theory and in practice. Her research interests include:

• Quality management.
• Risk analysis.
• Lean and Six Sigma applications.
• Qualitative analysis in quality control.
• Logistics and transport management.
• Uncertainty modelling in quality control.
• Performance measurement and management.
