Jack is currently Managing Director of Taylor Stopforth (Consulting Services) Limited, a business development and strategic communications consultancy.
Previously (until December 2014) Jack served as a main director of The BIG Partnership Group Limited, the largest PR and digital marketing agency in the country outside London. Between 2005 and 2012 Jack was CEO of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Industry having spent the previous eight years as Managing Director of Cumbria Inward Investment Agency Limited.
Jack is a past member of the Liverpool City Region LEP Board and The Mersey Partnership Economy Board. He has held several Non-Executive Directorships, including Bay TV Liverpool, Merseyside Special Investment Fund and Liverpool Community Health Trust as well as serving on the boards of Liverpool University Management School and Liverpool City Central BID.
Jack attended St Margaret's High School in Liverpool and was awarded a BA in History and Government from Manchester Polytechnic, and an MA in Local Government Management from the University of Kent.
He lives with his journalist wife, Carolyn, in Liverpool and the Lake District.
Jack was awarded an MBE in the Jubilee Honours List in 2012 for his services to regeneration in the city of Liverpool. He has been an Honorary Fellow of LJMU since 2011.
