Careers Support for Students with Disabilities at LJMU

The Careers, Employability and Enterprise service offers a wide range of support services to all undergraduate and postgraduate students at the university and continues to offer this after graduation too.  This support includes:

  • Advice on how to succeed with the application process (including feedback on CVs, support with application forms and preparation for interviews)

  • Careers guidance appointments (to provide you with an opportunity to discuss your career ideas, consider how to find out information about employment and to identify your next steps)

  • Webinars on topics such as sharing information about your disability(virtual or in-person information sessions from employers and Careers, Employability & Enterprise staff)

  • Events and Workshops specifically for disabled individuals (virtual or in-person sessions, with opportunities to take part in activities, discuss issues and ask questions)

  • Mock interviews (the opportunity to practice answering interview questions and to receive feedback on these)

If you need adjustments to access our support and resources, please let us know.  This could include:

  • An extended careers appointment by prior arrangement (up to 1 hour instead of 30 minutes)

  • A careers appointment at an alternative on-campus venue, or a virtual appointment, to suit your needs

  • Careers advice and guidance by telephone or email.
