Take part in LJMU’s employability programmes
LJMU currently has two employability programmes that students can take part in:
- CareerSmart: Explore
- World of Work Skills Certificate
It is important that you check the eligibility criteria for each programme to ensure you can take part. Full details about each programme is available via the links on the homepage or by clicking the links above.
All students in their first year of study (level 4) will have an opportunity to engage with the programme as an integral part of a core module of study. Speak to your programme leader to find out when your CareerSmart: Explore session will be taking place. Once you have completed this, a wide range of other career-related provision and services will be available to support your development throughout your studies.
The new CareerSmart: Explore e-learning assignment will introduce you to the steps involved in making informed choices about your career. It will enable you to consider your strengths and development areas, your career motivators, the options available to you and the necessary steps to take to achieve your career goals.
Any student not in level 4 can also complete the CareerSmart: Explore e-learning assignment independently. Email CareerSmart@ljmu.ac.uk for more information or for details about how to enrol on the assignment via Canvas.
World of Work Skills Certificate
If you are a student returning to study in level 6 or on a postgraduate course or if you have already completed one or more stages of the World of Work Skills Certificate, then you may be eligible to continue to the next stage of the process.
If you think you may be eligible and would like to continue with the certificate, please register your interest by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Within your email please detail the stages of the process you have already completed. We will then consider your request and if eligible we will enroll you on the relevant Canvas course.
