Liverpool John Moores University is proud to host the 2017 International Police Symposium Conference.
The 28th annual meeting of the International Police Executive Symposium (IPES) will be hosted by LJMU's Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies in August 2017 at the Hilton Liverpool City Centre Hotel.
The theme for this year's Symposium surrounds Organised Crime & Terrorism: Policing Challenges from Local to International Level.
Terrorism and organised crime have origins, reach and effect in neighbourhoods and communities at local level and onwards on to the national and international stages and back again. This symposium is an opportunity for practitioners and academics to consider the challenges, and opportunities this poses.
The sub-themes for panels, roundtables and papers are:
- Legal compatibility
- Inter-agency co-operation
- Policing approaches (neighbourhood to national to international) and their interaction
Please send proposals/abstracts for papers, panels and keynotes to D.Lowe@ljmu.ac.uk
