The Power of Sport: A Student Conference Experience

Submit an abstract

The theme of the abstracts should be within the domain of sport and exercise science, sport coaching, sport psychology, sports nutrition, sport development, physical education and activity.

Level 6 students are encouraged to submit abstracts to discuss their major project initial findings if the discussion has not been completed.

Abstracts are limited to 250 words and will need to include an introduction/objectives, methodology and results/discussion points. The best 20 will be selected to present at the Power of Sport Conference and will be offered a presentation slot of 10 minutes with five minutes of facilitated questions.

There will be an £80 Amazon voucher prize awarded for the best abstract.

How to submit: email a Word document with your name, level of study, programme enrolled onto and your institution to thepowerofsportljmu@ljmu.ac.uk. You will be notified on 9 March if you have been successful.

Deadline: 1 March 2020


Submit a poster

If you are a Level 5 or 6 student you can submit a poster.

The theme of the poster should be within the domain of sport and exercise science, sport coaching, sport psychology, sports nutrition, sport development, physical education and activity. This may be an assignment poster completed in a module or another piece of work completed transformed into a poster.

How to submit: your poster submission needs to be on an A1 format and submitted via email to thepowerofsportljmu@ljmu.ac.uk. You will be notified on 9 March if you have been successful to present your poster during the lunchtime session.

Deadline: 1 March 2020

There is a Power of Sport People’s Choice award of £50 Amazon voucher voted on the day and a £50 Amazon voucher award for the Power of Sport Facilitator's Choice.
