Find your new home
Located in leafy Aigburth, the IM Marsh Campus is about four miles from the centre of Liverpool and is home to part of the Faculty of Education, Health and Community (EHC)
The vast majority of IM Marsh students live in the city centre and are therefore able to take advantage of the same modern facilities as other students. It is very easy to travel between the campus and the city-centre. New Level 3 and Level 4 students who live in any city-centre Hall will receive help towards travel costs in their first year at LJMU. In academic year 2019/20 this will take the form of a free term-time Arriva bus pass for all eligible students.
If you’re a new undergraduate student
All new undergraduate students need to select accommodation from the wide range of city-centre options. Grand Central, The Arch, Grenville Street, St. Luke’s View and St Andrew's Gardens are popular with new IM Marsh students because of their proximity to the main bus route (number 82) between the city-centre and the campus. If you choose to live at these sites you can request to share your flat with other I M Marsh students.
The LJMU Accommodation Office will do its best to accommodate this request but it cannot be guaranteed, especially if you apply later in the year or during the Clearing period. If you choose to live elsewhere it is not possible to request to share with other I M Marsh students, unless you plan to share with a friend who will also be based at the campus.
If you’re a new postgraduate student
New postgraduate students based at IM Marsh are advised to book a bedroom in St Andrew's Gardens, Marybone 1, Liberty Atlantic Point or Albert Court. Bedrooms at Albert Court and Liberty Atlantic Point feature private en-suite bathrooms and are good value at £124 and £107.50 per week respectively. Parking is available at both sites at an additional cost. Another option is to take a studio at The Arch.
If you do not wish to share your accommodation with new undergraduate students and do not want to live in any of the accommodation above there are plenty of private houses and flats available in the area around IM Marsh – in this instance you should contact Liverpool Student Homes to explore your options.
If you have any other questions about studying at IM Marsh get in touch with the Accommodation Office team on +44 (0)151 231 4166 / email@example.com.
Students who will be undertaking a PGDE course at LJMU in 2019/20 will need access to their accommodation from very early September since teaching on these courses is expected to commence on Monday 2 September 2019.
Rooms will be available from this date within dedicated postgraduate flats at St Andrew's Gardens, Marybone 1, Albert Court and Liberty Atlantic Point. In addition, rooms for PGDE students will be available at Rose Lane, within ten minutes’ walk of the IM Marsh Campus. Further information about Rose Lane can be obtained directly from the owners, J Moss Developments.
There are good transport links between IM Marsh and Liverpool city centre, and you should have no problems travelling between the two locations.
