IM Marsh students

Find your new home

Located in leafy Aigburth, the IM Marsh Campus is about four miles from the centre of Liverpool and is home to a smal number of courses.

The vast majority of IM Marsh students live in the city centre and are therefore able to take advantage of the same modern facilities as other students. It is very easy to travel between the campus and the city-centre. New Level 3 and Level 4 students who live in any city-centre Hall will receive help towards travel costs in their first year at LJMU. In academic year 2020/21 this will take the form of a free term-time Arriva bus pass for all eligible students.

Search for accommodation

If you’re a new undergraduate student

All new undergraduate students need to select accommodation from the wide range of city-centre options. Grand Central, Horizon Heights, The Arch, Grenville Street, St. Luke’s View and St Andrew's Gardens are popular with new IM Marsh students because of their proximity to the main bus route (number 82) between the city-centre and the campus. If you choose to live at these sites you can request to share your flat with other I M Marsh students.

The LJMU Accommodation Office will do its best to accommodate this request but it cannot be guaranteed, especially if you apply later in the year or during the Clearing period. If you choose to live elsewhere it is not possible to request to share with other I M Marsh students, unless you plan to share with a friend who will also be based at the campus.

If you’re a new postgraduate student

New postgraduate students based at IM Marsh are advised to book a bedroom in St Andrew's Gardens, Marybone 1, Atlantic Point or Albert Court. Bedrooms at Albert Court and Atlantic Point feature private en-suite bathrooms and are good value at £127.00 and £112.00 per week respectively. Parking is available at both sites at an additional cost. Another option is to take a studio at The Arch, Grand Central or Apollo Court.

If you do not wish to share your accommodation with new undergraduate students and do not want to live in any of the accommodation above there are plenty of private houses and flats available in the area around IM Marsh – in this instance you should contact Liverpool Student Homes to explore your options.
