Your rights and responsibilities

Please read the Student Charter before you arrive at LJMU to complete your enrolment.

If you are a postgraduate research student you should refer to your Code of Practice for Researchers and Supervisors.

The LJMU Student Charter 2016/17 sets out a series of expectations, standards and responsibilities that students, staff and the Liverpool Students Union each need to meet in order for you to achieve your academic and personal ambitions while you are a student at LJMU.

You should also take the time to read the Student Handbook which provides an overview of the University’s rules and regulations plus your rights and responsibilities as an LJMU student.

LJMU is a big institution and sometimes finding the information and support you need to succeed in your studies and really get the most out of being at university can be difficult. The Student Handbook also outlines the facilities and support services that are available across the University and how you can access these.

If you have any queries about any of the topics or issues covered in this Handbook, please contact the Student Administration Centre, located in the ground floor of your local LJMU Library.
