Your experience at LJMU

The Student Network

The Student Network is a student-led forum of discussion, sharing of ideas and networking. We host talks and events for students’ career development and to hear from role models within Liverpool, the wider North-West Region and beyond. We want to work in close collaboration with ethnically diverse individuals and organisations across the city and invite them on campus to provide opportunities for all. This year we are working closely with the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies to expand our reach into local schools and speak to ethnically diverse pupils about coming to university. We are also involved in a number of ongoing projects with LJMU and the Students’ Union and we would love to welcome you to join. The group was established in the academic year 2019/20.

Diversity and Inclusivity Champions

The purpose of the Diversity and Inclusivity Champions and the staff networks is to support the university in driving forward the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda at Faculty and division level and ensure local issues inform the overall approach for the university.

Domestic abuse support information

Did you know domestic abuse affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men (1 in 4 people who identify as women and 1 in 6 who identify as men) in their lifetime and that ethnically diverse victims typically suffer abuse for 1.5 times longer, before getting help than those who identify as White British?

With the rise of domestic abuse cases being reported over the last year, we want you to know that you are not alone.

When you feel ready to talk, the organisations signposted within the poster will be there to listen to you, believe you when you share your experiences and support you any way they can. They are ready to help.
